10 New Empowering Beliefs that will Help You Live Your Best Life

Do you feel like life is just too hard, sometimes? It can often feel like your treading water, getting nowhere fast. I mean, where is the freaking manual on how to be an adult? I feel you, and I see you. As a fellow human, I’ve been known to have an existential freak out now and again. I do have a secret weapon, though, that’s helped me get through some pretty hard times. When life gets tough, I focus on creating empowering beliefs that serve me rather than feeding my fears.

We all have the power to create new beliefs, no matter what our situation. Here I’m sharing the top 10 empowering beliefs that have helped me, and I know they’ll help you too!

1. Things are always working out for me.

No matter how hard and uncertain things get, choose to believe in your heart that things are always working out for you. Every time you experience a delay or a denial of something you really wanted, choose to believe you are being redirected towards something that’s even better for you. Look back on how your life has unfolded so far, and I bet you’ll see evidence of things working out for you even if it didn’t happen in the way you originally intended.

Bolster your faith and surrender to the knowing and the belief that no matter what, things are always working out for you. This one belief will change your life!

2. I am supported, loved, and cherished.

Even when you feel alone know that you are always supported, loved, and cherished more than you could ever realize. There are people who wouldn’t be who they are today without you. You matter, and the world would feel your loss if you were no longer here.

Try this exercise if you’re struggling to tap into this belief:

1. Lay flat and make yourself comfortable. You can do this on a bed, but for some reason I prefer the ground or the floor.

2. Close your eyes and imagine you are being held by the Earth below you. Imagine the Earth as a Mother lovingly cradling you in her arms. Relax your entire body as if you are floating without a care in the world. Breathe deep into the knowing that you are fully supported, always.

3. Remember this feeling and tap into it anytime you feel alone and unsupported. Your mind will try to convince you that you’re on your own, but it’s never true.

3. I am stronger than I think I am.

Fear and self-doubt are confidence killers. No matter how capable you are, sometimes you’ll feel like you just can’t handle the situation you’re currently in. The way out or through won’t always be clear.

But please know this: You are much stronger than you think you are, and you will get through this. You have a 100% success rate at getting through hard things so far in life, and this time will be no different.

4. I am here for a reason.

You may be only one person, but even a drop of water from the ocean contains an entire Universe. You are here for a reason, and you matter. You matter in ways you’ll never fully grasp, and that’s okay!

When in doubt, feel into this truth. It’s no accident that you were born. You have a purpose, and your being here is intentional. Feel into this anytime you’re struggling to find your place in the world. Know that you are worthy and you are enough, just the way you are.

5. I am a powerful creator.

It’s normal to feel powerless sometimes. We live in a world where so much is out of our control, but we also live in a world where so much is IN our control. Your mind, your thoughts, and your capacity to love make you a powerful force. You can think up a whole new life for yourself and make it happen. It may take time and a willingness to be brave and do hard things sometimes, but you can create just about anything you want.

If you’re not living your best life right now, it’s never too late to start working towards creating it. The time is going to pass by anyway, so why not get started today? You are worth the effort, and you DO have the power to change things.

6. It’s safe for me to make money doing what I love and what fulfills me.

Often we think we have to choose between making money and doing what we love, but truly we can have it both ways. You first have to believe that it’s safe to have both, and that it’s okay to have your cake and eat it too.

You don’t have to starve for your art or your calling. You can make a living doing what you love. You just have to get creative and a little ballsy, and be willing to do things different than what society has taught you. Create a vision of what you want your work to look like and how much money you want to make, and start taking inspired action steps towards it.

7. Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.

Even if you only move towards your dreams at the low speed of 1mph, you will have gone one mile in one hour. That’s progress! Imagine if you do just one thing every day that brings you closer to your best life? A single year could pass and your entire life will have changed!

Don’t aim for perfect. Just do the best you can, consistently. When you do this, you get better and better over time. Things get easier. You end up doing things you never thought possible.

8. I am worthy of receiving good things.

Self-sabotage is a bitch, and it usually happens when deep down we don’t believe we are worthy of having good things. Think about it. Hasn’t there been at least one occasion in your life where things were going really well, and it just felt too good to be true? It felt too good, so you self-sabotaged maybe without even realizing it.

You have to believe that you are worthy of receiving good things. You are worthy of living a life of happiness and fulfillment. It’s safe for you to receive. 9. I am free to choose new beliefs, a new life, a new direction, and new experiences.

It doesn’t matter what your life has looked like up until this point. Even if you’ve made a shit ton of mistakes and done things you’ve regretted, you can choose to forgive yourself (and others!) and move forward with your life. Your past has no bearing on the present or the future.

You are free to choose new beliefs, a new life, a new direction, and new experiences. The only thing ever standing in your own way is you. Your best life is a decision away. Choose yourself!

10. I have so much to offer the world, just by being me.

Who you are and what you have to offer is so much more than your tangible skills and achievements. Remember, you are here for a reason! The fact that you are reading this now means that you have something special to offer the world, just by being yourself.

Even if you think you have nothing to offer, it’s not true. The thing is – our gifts feel so natural to us that we don’t even realize they are special. You have a gift, and maybe you just haven’t discovered it yet. Either way, the path to your best life will be discovering who you are and giving it to the world. That’s when you’ll feel the most happy and fulfilled. It doesn’t have to be too hard either. Just look at what you most enjoy doing and what comes naturally. Those are your biggest clues!

As you can see, sometimes all it takes is a different mindset and way of looking at the world to change your situation. When you combine these new empowering beliefs with taking inspired action towards your dreams you become an unstoppable creative force.
